Term 1 Cross Country 2014

CROSS COUNTRY 2014

The second of our big school events, the cross country, was held in the last week of Term 1. We had a change this year with children running a new course, beginning at the Eastbourne Recreation Ground to enable students to run along a flat track and provide a better viewing platform for spectators.

We also had two grades, an open grade and a championship grade.  The Championship grade was for our fastest runners wishing to qualify for the zone events.  It was a FANTASTIC day, with the weather 'coming to party' too.  Well done to everyone for their efforts on the day.

SCHOOL SWIMMING SPORTS

The children were excellent in our swim sports, held in at the beginning of Term 1 at Huia Pool, for the seniors.  They swam beautifully and thoroughly enjoyed the competitive environment that was organized so well by Mr McKay and his team. It was so good to see the quality of the swimming overall. Very pleasing!
